Life is funny

Life is a funny thing, isn't it?

Today, I wake up with an overwhelming sense of joy, realizing that every experience I've had has led me to this very moment. It's mind-blowing, really! I find it amusing because life has been a wild ride. Last week, someone asked me if I would go back to my 12-year-old self armed with the knowledge I have now and change anything. I pondered over the question, as I often have over the years, and my answer remains a resounding no. Despite the fact that much of my life has been a roller coaster and filled with hardships, I wouldn't alter a single aspect. Why? Because every single challenge and triumph has shaped the person I am today.

The wisdom and knowledge I've gained not only reshape the path I walk, but they also have the power to influence the lives of my family, friends, and even strangers I encounter. I aspire to touch people on a deeper level, to love everyone in my life and even those I pass by. After all, every individual deserves to be loved. I yearn to make a difference, to leave an imprint on others. And I couldn't fulfill that mission without having gone through heartache, brokenness, and loss. I faced those challenges head-on and emerged stronger, with an abundance of self-love that overflows and can be shared with the world. I am no longer an empty vessel.

Above all, I want to teach my son the importance of embracing his true self, even in a world that may reject or belittle him for it. I want him to know that being different is not only acceptable but beautiful. I will stand beside him, supporting him through whatever challenges he faces. Furthermore, I strive to impart whatever wisdom I can to others, not just through words but by living my own journey and daily struggles as an example. Our children need us to be whole so that they can heal and grow into their own completeness. Right now, in this very moment, I am incredibly thankful and grateful.

To my future partner, let me assure you that I was made for all of this. Every trial, tribulation, humiliation, and heartache I've endured has led me straight to where I am now. I am far from perfect, and there is still healing left to do. My heart has been torn apart and painstakingly stitched back together with my own hands, prayers, and sheer determination. I acknowledge that the healing process won't be easy, and we both will have our own triggers to face. But I promise you this: I will love you fiercely, treating you like the king that you are. I won't always agree with you, and I will stand my ground when it comes to my boundaries. There may be times when I need to step back momentarily, but I will always return. Always. So let me shower you with love and honor, just as I hope you will reciprocate as my partner.

Ah, this is the good stuff! Life can change in an instant if we commit to working through our issues, healing, and embracing the journey. Everyone should have the opportunity to feel this way. And if you haven't yet, don't worry; there is still time. There is always time to experience the vibrant, forward-moving, and peaceful existence we deserve—filled with joy that stems from a deep connection with the divine. I want to dance in the streets, make a fool of myself, and be carefree of who's watching. The world often expects us to conform to its perfect little puzzle, filled with politics, dogma, and stagnant water. But no, I crave adventure. I want to walk alongside the strange and bizarre, spreading love and accepting people exactly as they are, wherever they are in life. I will block out anything that threatens my peace. I am free, and I relish every single moment of it.

Life, you may be funny, but I've passed your test! (She grins from ear to ear.) Ha-ha! Screw you—excuse the language—but screw you! I've got this! So let's embark on this journey together, shall we? Let's do this thing!
